The sheng is the guiding voice—bright, airy, and elemental—shaping the music with breath-born chords, gliding bends, rising bamboo arpeggios, and clustered harmonics that feel like wind sweeping across cliff edges. Vocals carry a wanderer’s cadence: half-story, half-incantation, lightly syncopated and supported by echoing call-and-response lines. Production textures lean organic and atmospheric, with soft saturation, drifting ambience, and subtle delay trails.
